Cornell Wilson
Lebanon City Council

I was born and raised in Lebanon, PA as the child of a single mother who worked for Bethlehem Steel and then the VA Hospital. Because of her many valuable life lessons, I learned to be proud of who I was and understood the importance of always working for the good of the community. Growing up on the north side of town, I never forgot where I came from. I graduated from Lebanon Senior High School and went on to be the first of my siblings to graduate college. My BA in Sociology is from Lebanon Valley College.
I know that experience matters and is something people want in their city councilmen. I’m a former member of the Lebanon School Board and have served before on the Lebanon City Council. I have experience working with budgets, crafting and revising policies, overseeing ordinances, and working with city offices. I was also the Elm Street Manager for the City of Lebanon for two years. I sit on several boards and am proud founder and President of Making A Difference of Lebanon, PA
As a Lebanon City Councilman, I will fight for clean and safe neighborhoods. I will support and promote local businesses so our town economy can thrive. In addition, I will promote home ownership and work to help empower the people of Lebanon, with a specific focus on building up our young people. Like I did when I served before, I will always stand with taxpayers, and I will be open and transparent about what’s going on in the city.
Some see City Council as a simple legislative body that writes ordinances and oversees town policies. While I know that’s a part of the job, I think a councilman MUST be part of the community. They must always be out in the community, working with the community, and listening to folks. As a councilman, I promise to always do that. So to me, city council is more than sitting behind a boardroom table twice a month, it’s about going beyond that table and being part of your community. My experience shows I am just the person who can do that.
